Peal Resonator Advantages:

Why Buy the Peal Resonator?

Our High Quality Metal Body Resonator Guitars are in Keeping with the Traditional 30's style, which was the Favorite Choice for Blues and Hawaiian Musicians in the Days before Amplification.

The resonator guitar concept was simple but brilliant. Unlike standard acoustic guitars, in which the wood body amplifies vibrations of the strings, a metal cone (or cones) does most of the amplifying in a resonator guitar, while the body of the guitar acts more like a speaker cabinet. The strings rest on some type of saddle over the cone, which is housed within the body. When the strings are plucked, the vibrations are transmitted through the saddle and amplified by the cone. Essentially an acoustic speaker, the cone also imparts a rich, distinctive sound.

Unlike many technologies, which go out of use with the next innovation, the resonator guitar has withstood the test of time. Its original appeal was practical a guitar that was loud enough to be heard in a band but over time the instrument evolved into an integral piece of the American musical landscape. The enduring popularity of the resonator guitar is a testament to its creators' ingenuity and dedication to quality.

Traditional Punched F-Holes

The "F" Holes in the Peal Resonator guitars are designed to give each guitar a true classic look.

Traditional Trapeze Style Tail Piece

The traditional trapeze style tail piece adds sustain and resonance to the guitar, as well as adding to the overall 'classic' look of the guitar.

19 Custom Nickel Silver Frets with Beveled Edges

Peal Resonator Guitars have beveled alloy frets that will enable you to easily slide your fingers from one fret to another without having your fingers get stuck.  Properly beveled frets will make for smoother chord transitions.

Nickel Plated Biscuit Style Resonator

The nickel plated, highly polished, single spun, biscuit style resonator adds an elegant look to the Peal Resonator.

Heavy Duty Hand Rest To Help You Avoid Cone Contact

The Peal Resonator guitars are built with a heavy duty hand rest over the cone so you will not come in contact with the guitar cone.  A hardwood saddle is also attached underneath the hand rest.

High Quality Metal

Many resonator guitars are constructed with an inexpensive, cheap metal.  The Peal Resonators are constricted with a high quality metal ensuring that you are getting a quality instrument.

Specially Designed Peg Head

The specially designed peg head allows a straight string pull through the nut, to eliminate binding problems with the string in the nut slot.

Easy To See White Position Markers

The Peal Resonator guitars have easy-to-read white position markers. When playing the guitar you want to be able to easily see the position markers so you can quickly move from one fret to the other without having to tilt the guitar to see the front.

Handcrafted in South Korea

By certified technicians. Korea has a fantastic reputation for making top-quality guitars, and the Peal is among the best to come out of this nation steeped on guitar-making tradition.
