Peal
D-28s Acoustic Advantages:
Why Buy the Peal
D-28s
13 reasons why
the Peal D-28s is the best
acoustic guitar for less than
$1000.
1. Solid-Top
Sitka Spruce Soundboard
Much
better sound and durability than laminated soundboard.
The soundboard is more important than any other part in terms
of how the guitar sounds. If the guitar you are considering
does not specify that it has a "solid-top"
soundboard, then it is likely a laminated-top (Difference
between solid-top and laminated-top soundboards).
Solid-top soundboards offer a much
better vibration. They also provide a much more pure
acoustic tone than laminated-top soundboards. In addition,
solid-top soundboards sound better with time, while the
sound from laminated-top soundboards worsens over time, since
the laminated layers loosen over time.
2.
Adjustable Double Truss
Rod
No
warping, bending, or twisting of neck and bridge. The
double rod through the neck and bridge results in far more
stability and support than the typical single truss rod. Plus,
the double truss rod system means seasonal adjustments are not
necessary, while also resulting in better sounding notes.
Allows you to adjust
strings to ideal height. The Peal D-28s
acoustic guitar comes standard as a "low
action" guitar, meaning the strings are set closer to the
frets. Most people prefer low action. However, the Peal D-28s truss system does offer the capability of being
adjusted, so you can ensure the perfect string height
for your individual needs and preferences.
3. Vintage
V-Shaped Mahogany Neck with Maple Capped Heel
The vintage v-shaped neck gives
you a softened feel and comfort
4. Sealed,
Opalescent Machine Heads with Decorative
Headstock
High-precision
tuners that keep dust and dirt out. The D-28s uses
die-cast tuners with a 16:1 gear ratio. These precision-cut
gears allow you to perfectly tune your guitar quickly and
easily, without slippage or backlash. The sealed lubricant
means that the machine heads will last a lifetime.
Comparable replacement tuners typically sell for between $50
and $100. The 15˚ peg head angle enhances and sustains
the tone.
5. Maple Binding
Keeps edges intact.
Maple is a very strong binding, protecting the edges from
impact, while giving your guitar and custom look and feel. Acoustic guitars without binding around the edges can
fall apart with even the slightest bump on the edge. The Peal
D-28s not only has maple binding around the edges on the body,
but also along the edges of the neck and headstock, for
complete protection.
6. Perfectly
Tight Seams
Maintain
quality, durability, and appearance. The construction
of the D-28s is so "seamless", it almost feels
and looks as though it is made from a single piece of wood.
You will not see any glue protruding from seams anywhere on
the guitar.
The D-28s also has a very clean
surface matting area which cleans up the guitar interior. The
guitar interior is extremely clean
7. Dreadnought Body Style
Better
volume and tone. The Peal D-28s is a dreadnought body size, making it one of
the best sounding acoustic guitars available for any price.
8. Rosewood Fretboard
Makes
guitar easier to play. The rosewood used in the making
of the fretboard make it very strong and comfortable on the
fingers while playing. This, in addition to the cutaway body
style of the Peal D-28s, allows you to easily play the
frets all the way down to the sound hole.
The D-28s also features matching a rosewood
bridge.
9. Genuine
Inlay Abalone/Pearl
Around
body edges, sound hole, and between frets. Inlay pearl
does as much as anything to enhance the appearance of the
guitar. The genuine abalone inlay around the
sound hole and edges adds color and sparkle to the body of the
guitar, while the mother of pearl position
markers between the frets give the D-28s acoustic
guitar a serious touch of class.
10. Handcrafted
in South Korea
By certified technicians.
Korea has a fantastic reputation for making top-quality
guitars, and the Peal is among the best to come out of this
nation steeped on guitar-making tradition.
11. Zero-Risk
Customer Service Policies
You
will not pay a dime if dissatisfied. Guitar Imports

Affordable Price
Reasonable for the
serious and casual guitar player. It is not possible
to find a guitar built with this level of quality, with this
number of features, for anywhere near the price of $799. The
only "advantage" that other comparable guitars can
